Westin Swim Limited Edition French Glow – 12cm 58g Sinking Glidebait

The Westin Swim Limited Edition French Glow 12cm 58g is a special-edition version of one of Westin's most popular predator lures. Featuring the exclusive French Glow colour pattern, this sinking glidebait combines the proven side-to-side swimming action of the original Westin Swim with a distinctive finish that stands out from the standard colour range.

Designed primarily for pike fishing, the Westin Swim is an exceptionally versatile hard lure that can be fished with a simple steady retrieve or worked more aggressively with twitches, changes of speed and pauses. Its distinctive zigzag swimming action imitates a wounded or fleeing baitfish, helping trigger predatory strikes.

At 12cm and 58g, this sinking version is particularly well suited to UK pike fishing in lakes, rivers, canals and reservoirs. Its sinking design allows anglers to explore different depths, while the easy-to-use action makes it suitable for both beginners and experienced lure anglers.

Whether you're searching open water, targeting pike around submerged structure or adding an exclusive colour to your collection, the Westin Swim French Glow offers a proven predator lure in a limited-edition finish.

Proven Westin Swim Action

The Westin Swim is known for its distinctive side-to-side gliding action, which can be produced simply by turning the reel handle.

At slower speeds, the lure moves like an injured or weakened baitfish, making it an effective choice when targeting cautious or less active pike.

Increase the retrieve speed and the action becomes more aggressive, imitating a panicked baitfish trying to escape a predator.

By combining different retrieve speeds with short pauses and occasional rod twitches, anglers can create an unpredictable presentation that encourages following fish to strike.

Best Techniques

Steady Retrieve: Simply cast and retrieve at a consistent speed to activate the Swim's natural zigzag action. An excellent technique for covering water and locating active pike.

Slow Retrieve: Fish the lure slowly to imitate a wounded baitfish. Particularly useful during colder months or when pike are reluctant to chase faster-moving lures.

Stop-and-Go: Alternate periods of steady retrieval with pauses, allowing the sinking lure to change depth and create a vulnerable presentation.

Twitch & Jerk: Use short movements of the rod tip to produce sharper changes of direction and a more erratic swimming action.

Fishing Different Depths: Allow the lure to sink before starting the retrieve to explore different sections of the water column and target pike holding deeper.
