These are perfect for shallow water and weed. They can. be brought through some rough ground. Cast well with that added salt. I personally think they are better suited to Rods of under 30g in saltwtaer. Ive done well letting them drift in turbulent water. Prefer an oversized hook and unweighted To me they are like a disorientated bait fish easy pickings for a bass. My most successful colours are white and in fished very close in - You need to look after them as they can deteriate if left with other lures
The casting distance you get out of something with no added weight is mad, dense enough to reach places other soft plastics can't. Solid white is deadly at night.
I was skeptical. It looks dead simple. But the action in the water is completely different to anything else. Dead drifted it with the tide and barely worked it. Three bass in an hour. Now I barely carry anything else.
Fished it weightless on a 6/0 hook, slow retrieve, barely twitching it. Bass nailed it in less than a foot of water. That side-to-side glide on the fall is like nothing else I've tried. Keeps the bigger fish interested too.
